Meet The AsBuilt Safety Team

Jeff Berblinger
CEO
Serving as CEO of AsBuilt Safety and Training, Inc. Jeff Berblinger will direct, develop, and oversee the general safety policies, training, and procedures of the organization in an effort to grow a cooperative and committed safety culture. A graduate of the University of Kansas, Jeff went on to play baseball professionally for 10+ years after being drafted right before the end of his senior year. Due to a career ending injury, Jeff entered the workforce. Through the invaluable experience of baseball and team sports, Jeff has built a sound foundation of team building and collaborative efforts to achieve a common goal. For the past 14 years in the oil and gas industry, he developed his safety knowledge and training background. Jeff has obtained skills such as an OSHA 500/510, NCCER Master Trainer, American Red Cross Instructor, and numerous other provider certifications. Jeff and his wife Anna have a son, Camden (7), who Jeff enjoys spending a lot of his free time with along with outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and coaching. Jeff is eager for the opportunity to transition into the Construction Industry and grow a safety culture for others to model.

Michael Cruz
Safety Director
Serving as the Safety Director for AsBuilt Safety, Michael Cruz oversees all safety and training related activities to ensure their quality and efficiency. A former student from Kansas State University after graduating in 2011 and working as a carpenter for 3 years Michael joined the AsBuilt Safety Family in 2014 to put his knowledge into practice. Along with his skills as an OSHA 500/510, he has gained certifications as a NCCER Master Trainer and American Red Cross Instructor. Michael’s core responsibilities include developing safety standards, conducting safety audits, reviewing accident reports, drafting new policies, maintaining OSHA regulations, crafting updated safety programs, and managing safety meetings.
Known for his problem-solving abilities and “put others first” attitude, Michael strives to make communication a top priority. His talents and knowledge are crucial to maintaining and continuing to improve the quality of our safety programs at AsBuilt Safety. When he has time away from work he is a grass root volunteer for “Build Pride “a NPO that promotes the construction industry to students.
